I really need to get this out, so here it is. My week has been hell. Wednesday my son who is 22 and his friend who is 21 and staying with us took my truck after I went to bed to go on a beer run, after they had been drinking. They got pulled over and ended up in jail , I knew nothing of this till Thursday evening after I called the police to see if they had been in a accident. It has cost me so far 400$ to get my son and my truck back and it still is not over. I am a wreck from worry. Thank you I needed to rant.

trust me I’m 58 and I don’t ether.

Well I can just bet the some one at the place you ate at was ill.  That is because food service employees do not get sick leave. I have worked in food service for years and I have seen people come in to work so sick they can barely walk. Why do they do it? Because they have no choice. Nine out of ten food service employees are only part time. Which means no benefits. And with pay being what it is, very few can afford to even take the time off to be sick. Most can barely afford to pay their bills on time. There are places out there where they will fire you if you call in sick two days in a row. Unless you get a Doctor’s excuse, and if you are all ready having trouble paying bills then paying money you need for food to get a doctor to say you can’t work to make the money you need, and you don’t make as much as you need in the first place. Well you do the math. All I am trying to say is that food service employees are not making you sick because they don’t care but because they have no choice in the matter. Other types of workers get sick leave but why not food service?  Don’t the people who make your food deserve the same treatment as others? Don’t food service employees deserve a living wage,  benefits ,   and sick days.
